I couldn’t pass this mango tree on our walk a couple days ago without taking some photos. The amount of fruit set is exceptional. This is clearly an early-ripening variety, to have so much color already.

A close look at the fruit, though, showed symptoms of anthracnose, a fungal disease that is common on mangoes. I think Ken was hoping that I’d include this photo, too. Only a plant pathologist would get so excited about a plant disease 😄

Nice! They’re indeed colorful. I love mangoes 🥭

I agree about the plant pathologist who’d get excited about rotten fruit 😄 plant diseases, fungus, and the like.

Love these pictures! I immediately want a summer top in those colors. Now I’m hungry too!

Good ol’ Florida! I remember as a kid, I planted a garden… that rich black dirt grows stuff so well. Everything was coming along beautifully, all the veggies growing on the ground were more than half grown… overnight, some blecch black mold grew over everything 🤨🤮😂
