So Many Dishes

It’s hard to choose a favorite place, so I’m going with one that definitely counts as one of my favorites, a place that made an unexpected impression: Somerset and North Devon in England.

We traveled there in 2017 to join a tour based out of Exmoor National Park. The scenery was varied and beautiful. We visited the coast of the Bristol Channel several times, but walked among the beautiful hills, as well.

As beautiful as the scenery was, as interesting as the sites we visited, it was the people we met who made it such a memorable trip. We were the only Americans, but we were welcomed and definitely made to feel part of the group. Meeting people is my favorite part of travel.

Although there are places I’ve never been that I’d love to visit, I know I’d go back to Somerset if the opportunity arose.
