I expected to post an old picture today, because it has not been a week for taking pictures. But Ken and I did a neighborhood walk earlier: short, slowly, and with me hanging onto his arm. It felt so good to be outdoors.
We spotted a small Brunfelsia grandiflora bush in bloom. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, the common name for this plant, is one of my favorite blossoms at this time of year. The flowers open as a vivid lilac, fade by the next day to pale lavender, and are white by the third day. The flower clusters on this plant didn’t give me a great shot of the intermediate hue, but it’s pretty nonetheless.
