So Many Dishes

I’m dating myself again, but my favorite cartoon is Rocky and Bullwinkle, or, to be precise, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends. The show aired in the early 1960s, and we actually watched it as a family. My parents liked it as much as my brother and I did.

This was definitely not just a kids cartoon. The comedy was often irreverent, and there were lots of jokes that were aimed at adults. The antagonists were Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale. One of the other segments was Dudley Do-Right, which skewered old time melodramas. I always loved the Fractured Fairy Tales, which retold classic fairy tales in hilarious fashion.

I assume that the show is streaming somewhere in the ether. If you ever have the opportunity to see it, do it!
