What’s your favorite word?

Answering today’s prompt, my favorite word is enthusiasm. I had a poster in my choral classroom that read, “nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” To me, that means more than “just do it.” It signals doing things with passion, with love.

At this stage of my life, I feel like it’s not worth it to do things I’m not enthusiastic about. Oh, I’m not talking about those things that must be done, but what I choose to do. If, after 50 pages, a book doesn’t rate more than a meh, then I’ll put it down and read something else. I want to travel to a place I’m excited to see, not just for the sake of travel. I love taking photographs of plants and flowers, and I’m so enthusiastic about it that I’m afraid I test Ken’s patience when we’re walking. And if we pass a horse, well, we’re not passing quickly!

I hope my enthusiasm shows in my blog posts. I really enjoy sharing these thoughts and recipes. I find myself constantly thinking of ideas for posts. Thanks to you readers, you feed my soul and my enthusiasm with your acceptance.
